Nanoblade (Experimental) is one of the Arms Augmentations in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Description[]
The Nanoblade is an attachment mounted on a Cybernetic Arm Prosthesis and is concealed unless deployed. It is most often wielded as a melee weapon, but may also be used as a projectile.

At base level, Jensen can fire his nanoblades as silent projectiles quickly and quietly, at max level however Jensen is able to hold the blade out and let it heat up (indicated by an orange glow at the tip of the blade) which when fired detonates in a loud explosion after a couple of seconds. When heated and fired directly at an opponent, the blade will explode instantly.
At base level, holding the blade to aim it is impossible since as soon as the aug button is pressed, the blade is instantly fired. The only way to hold the blade to aim it is to purchase the explosive blade upgrade, however the when held, the blade will quickly heat up and lose its silent properties.
Trivia[]
Strangely enough, despite Jensen firing his nanoblades out as projectiles, he is still able to perform lethal take downs with his blades when out of ammo for the Nanoblade aug, whether or not it is a different type of blade that is fired is unknown.
At max level, despite the fact that the blade is heated to a high temperature, Jensen is able to retract the blade instantly.
